7 Under-$40 Woven Basket Sets That Make Any Living Room Feel Curated

By Haven & Home|October 22, 2025|4 min read|Last updated: October 2025

Here's the trick nobody tells you about those "effortlessly curated" living rooms on Pinterest: half of the styling you see is just baskets. They're hiding the throw blankets, the dog toys, the mail pile, the remote graveyard. The room looks calm because everything messy is inside a pretty woven thing on the floor.

The problem is that baskets can get expensive fast if you buy them one at a time from the cute home stores. I've been stocking my own living room from Amazon for under $40 per set, and the results look identical. Here are the seven I keep coming back to.

1. The All-Purpose Seagrass Set Everyone Needs

If you're only going to buy one set from this list, start here. Three nesting sizes, natural seagrass, reinforced handles. The medium one swallows two folded throw blankets. The smallest is sized right for remotes and chargers.

Goodpick Seagrass Basket Set of 3

$34

(4,800+)

Set of 3 nesting baskets (large 13 in., medium 11 in., small 9 in.), handwoven seagrass, cotton rope handles.

2. The Belly Basket That Holds an Entire Blanket Pile

Belly baskets look small in photos and enormous in person. I use mine for throws next to the sofa and it fits three full-size blankets without slumping. The white-and-natural stripe is the version that shows up on every coastal Pinterest board.

Artera Cotton Rope Belly Basket

$29

(7,100+)

15 in. wide x 13 in. tall, cotton rope weave, stands up on its own when empty (most belly baskets don't).

3. The Water Hyacinth Set for Under the Console

These are shorter and wider than seagrass — perfect for sliding under a console table or TV stand. The weave is tighter, so small things (playing cards, batteries, TV remotes) don't fall through gaps.

Set of 2, tight weave water hyacinth, 14 in. x 10 in., fits standard TV stand shelf.

4. The Rattan Bundle for Open Shelving

If you have open shelves (floating, cube, or the IKEA Kallax type), these smaller rattan baskets fit standard cube openings and make the shelf look styled instead of shoved. Three in the bundle for $27.

5. The Wall-Hanging Basket Set for a Boho Layer

Not everyone knows you can buy a full wall-basket set for under $35. These mix natural tones and sizes so you can hang them in a cluster over a sofa or reading chair. Instant "I went to Morocco" vibe.

Bohemian Wall Baskets Set of 11

11 handwoven wall baskets, various sizes (8 in. to 18 in.), ready-to-hang keyhole backs.

6. The Cotton Rope Set with the Liner Trick

These come with a removable cotton liner, which is the thing that makes them actually useful for storing kids' toys or craft supplies. You can shake the liner out without the whole basket falling apart.

$32

(2,600+)

Set of 2, removable cotton canvas liner, 15 in. and 13 in., machine washable liner.

7. The Tall Slim Basket for Blanket Storage

If you have a narrow gap between the sofa and the wall (or sofa and the chair), this tall slim version fits where normal baskets won't. I use mine for rolled-up yoga mats and it looks intentional.

16 in. tall x 10 in. wide, seagrass with cotton handles, slim enough for under-window or behind-sofa gaps.

Quick Tips

  • Buy in sets of 3 or more — singles always look awkward, groupings look styled
  • Mix materials (seagrass + rope + rattan) within a room for depth, don't match everything
  • If you have pets, skip the cotton rope sets on the floor (they unravel under claws)
  • Belly baskets ALWAYS need something heavy inside to stand right — empty they slump
  • Natural materials get dusty; shake them outside every couple of weeks

Even three under-$35 sets will completely transform a room with clutter. Found something you love? Pin this for later so you don't lose it!
